Covertekst

We all collect things in life. Some of us gather stamps, some buy comics, and others stop for antiques. And we all collect broken hearts. No one, no matter who they are, can say that they have always known the joy of loving and being loved in return.

Debs onws a vintage clothing store, but lately, the grind of keeping a business running has become more about work and less about passion. Binny is obsessive about vintage books - particularly ones with notes scrawled in them by readers from long ago. The stories themselves aren't important, for him it's the thrill of acquisition. Happenstance puts Debs in Binny's way one night, as he witnesses her discarding some possessions - including the sort of trash he finds to be treasure. Before they know it, life takes a wonderful turn, and their presence in each other's lives begins to fill the holes that they are missing. But what will happen when Binny discovers exactly whom the fateful book Deb was throwing away belonged to?

Andi Watson is the Eisner-nominated creator of Breakfast after noon and Slow News Day. An original work of graphic literature, Dumped was produced in conjunction with the Big torino 2002 arts festival in Turin, Italy. The international Biennal of Young Arts was established to celebrate artists under the age of thirty-five who are creating new and exciting work.
